The book explores the supernatural through three distinctive stories, each rich in themes of loss, fear, and the unknown. The first story, The Haunting of Rose Cottage, introduces Cate Sinclair, a reluctant medium struggling with her inherited gift and the lingering presence of Beatrice, a poltergeist with a split personality. The Ghost of Hotel Verona shifts the focus to Ella Witten, a complex and flawed character whose manipulative tendencies and impulsive actions entangle her in a web of deceit and danger. The final tale, The Thirteenth Length, follows Lauren, a young woman haunted by her mother’s death and the unsettling presence of spirits in her home.
