Wow, Terry by Roger Kent is a very good story with a surprise ending. FBI Agents Joe Brady and Julie Trent are in a race to catch a serial killer. The serial killer, named Terry, targets women and is very good at eluding the law. Terry knows he is close to getting caught, but he never expected to fall for one of his potential victims.
The reason that I liked Terry so much is because Kent lets the readers get to know all of the main characters in the story. Kent even tells the backstory of all of Terry’s victims. Terry is the bad guy, but I really liked him and even understood him at times. Kent explained why Terry became a serial killer, what he was feeling, and what he was thinking. In the beginning I even sympathized with Terry. The FBI agents, Joe and Julie, had great chemistry. Right from the beginning I was rooting for them and their relationship.
I also liked how Kent told the story. He bounced between Terry and the agents. I thought I knew how this story was going to end. I was not expecting the story to end the way it did. It left me in complete shock. I absolutely love stories that throw me off guard. Kent has gained a fan in me. This is the first book of Kent’s that I have read. I hope to read others in the near future. If you like serial killer thrillers, then this is the book for you.
