Thankful For Today (Little Bear Book 1) by Roitman Trillo is a delightful story book for children with a beautiful message. It is bedtime for Little Bear and he thanks God for giving him such a wonderful day. He is always grateful for everything in his life, whether it is playing outside, going down the slide, playing in the mud and rain, or eating meals. Little Bear always says a thank you prayer before going to bed. The concept of being grateful for small things in life is conveyed very nicely to kids through the story of Little Bear. It is a story of love, gratitude and appreciation for all the things, big and small, one has in life.
The book is impressive because of the manner in which the author has conveyed a very simple concept and message to young readers in an effective manner. Little Bear teaches us to be grateful in life with his thank you prayers. The illustrations are bright and colorful and they also give movement and life to the story. I would recommend this book to all parents and grandparents to use as a bedtime story book. It is perfect to be read out in classrooms for read aloud sessions. It teaches children gratitude and thankfulness so effortlessly and cogently. Children's books with a concept are perfect to teach kids something good, apart from the story. Thankful For Today is definitely a book that can be added to your personal collection.
