Hop on for an exciting adventure with a pair of fun-loving twins and their talking dogs in Axi Mok's The Adventure to the Ancient Iceberg. Axi and Brandon are ten-year-old twins with a love for adventurous quests. When the siblings receive a mysterious package from the Ancient Sky Council, seeking their help to return a magical scroll to the Ancient Iceberg, the twins realize their summer is going to be quite eventful. At midnight, the Sky Bus reaches their home, and Axi and Brandon, along with their talking dogs, Jake, Kimchi, and Bowie, embark on a thrilling quest to return the scroll to the Ancient Iceberg before the evil Yeti gets his hands on it. However, the siblings soon discover there is more to the Yeti than they had previously assumed.
Author Axi Mok has written a captivating tale for elementary school kids. Full of magic, mystery, and humor, The Adventure to the Ancient Iceberg will entertain all preteen fantasy adventure fans. Fast-paced and action-packed, there is not a single dull moment in the entire book. Mok's characters are lively and full of personality. Axi and Brandon are the main heroes of this story, but even the talking dogs are compelling and have distinct character voices. It's easy to root for this dynamic little group. I also loved their time in the small Penguin Village and the reveal of the Yeti's backstory toward the end. All in all, it's a must-read for young readers. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and you will too!
