The Anchor of Time is a science fiction novel written by Tina Capricorn. It starts with a regular city girl known as Renata from New Ashemore, with a regular job as a hairdresser, who happened to fall into another dimension through a regular-looking glass at her salon, except she is anything but regular. Her past, present, and future brought her to a powerful yet mysterious entity with exceptional intelligence, known as Vincent. Both Renata and Vincent struggle to understand their new reality in their impossible encounter, all the while denying their forbidden attraction to one another. Meanwhile, in a separate dimension, Aldric and Peaches travel through the gates of various dimensions to reverse the fate of their bloodlines before the last dimension closes for good.
The Anchor of Time by Tina Capricorn is a compelling science fiction novel completed with heart-wrenching forbidden romance. The descriptive writing clearly sets New Ashemore, the Amaranthine Loop, and the Lupus Obsidian apart, depicting separate outstanding worlds that intertwine together beautifully. I loved the funny, quirky, and stubborn Renata that made her so human and close to heart, even in a parallel dimension. Vincent’s quiet and secretive demeanor hides the powerful love and passion he has for Renata. Their impossible and prohibited relationship was wonderfully written to ensure that readers have their eyes glued to each page. The Anchor of Time is filled with so much love, hate, sacrifices that it had me brimming with tears of joy and sadness. I loved every minute of The Anchor of Time, and now Tina Capricorn has me waiting impatiently for the second installment to the Forgotten Queen Series! This book is genuinely one of the best sci-fi novels I've come across!
