This is an amazing book! It’s the perfect read to show black children to follow their dreams. I also loved the fact that it’s about audio engineering, a field we don’t see a lot of black representation.

This book is exactly what little brown and black kids need to see. An example of what it means to have a passion that lives inside you and finding the opportunity to live out that passion. To not let the people around you influence you into thinking your gift is not of value but rather to embrace your special talent. A true reminder that being a creative and following your dreams leads to success and the ability to share it with the rest of the world, knowing that greatness is always within you.

Wow!!! This book is awesome. I read this book to my mentoring group and they were lost for words. They had no idea it was a career job as audio engineer exists.
They are now doing research on school s that offers the training and the degree for this career.

It’s one of a kind and the 1st encouraging children’s book for sound engineering. Every public library needs a copy in their young reader’s department. It‘s a read that widens the scope for career choices but it also tells an authentic story. A refreshing children’s book because it is not make believe. It’s the very real and inspirational story of Brandon Blackwell.

From the colorful design of the book to the illustrations throughout the story I had a smile on my face reading it to my nephew. This story shows parents what it could look like when they let their children explore their passions and don't set limits to their potential. It was such a heartfelt story showing the possibilities when we show interest and encourage our young ones. This book is made for the kids who can't sit still to read a book. Who prefer to move, sing, dance or take up other creative outlets than what traditional schooling provides. It shows them their talents are gifts and they matter and should be celebrated.

I have never read a children's book and connected to it so much. It's so nice to see that there is a book out there for little girls and boys who love music and want to follow their dreams! This was such a great book beginning to end.
