The Creature: Forgotten Prometheus is a story by David Millett that tells the story of a creature, one found buried in ice at the top of the world. He was created by a scientist over two hundred years ago, and sought death in the the icy waters of the North Pole. When revived, he starts a journey to create a new life and assimilate back into society, which may not be as easy as one would think - this creature is not the size of an average human. Oh no, this creature is seven feet, at least, and is disfigured and ugly with thin black lips that are simply not human. As this story develops, will the creature be able to become a part of society? Or will there be trouble?
This was a great book and I love how it tells the story and how it keeps the mystery factor as the plot develops. It is hard to describe this book without revealing the entire story. It has all the elements of a good read. It has a sense of mystery but also a sense of love, because all this creature really wants is to be loved and accepted by society. It is a perfect book for when you need to pass the time in a good way, but also when you want to add some excitement to your life. I recommend this for young adults to adults, but would be wary of younger readers because of some graphic descriptions of violence.
