Finally breaking free of the mystical pond, Acantha finds she’s lost seven years, but time is not the only thing she has lost. In The Dark Eve: Anamar Warrior by TK Thompson, Atlantis is rife with civil war, and in a moment of desperation, a Titan is released from its seal. Acantha, still reeling from the betrayal of her sister and her long-time companions, must now defeat Vedic and outwit the witch Versaius to set everything straight. Can she overcome the hurdles that await her, or will she stumble along the way?
The Dark Eve: Anamar Warrior by TK Thompson is an action-packed and riveting fantasy novel with rich lore interwoven into the story. I was fascinated by everything happening, from the curse to the interpersonal relationships between the characters. This story has so much depth that I couldn’t help but become immersed in it. I particularly liked the show of loyalty from Vaster and Jennings; the fact that they not only waited all that time for Acantha but continued to follow her throughout her journey was admirable to me. I enjoyed so many aspects of this story, from the pacing to the themes within. Thompson manages to touch on so many elements and yet weaves them together effortlessly into a well-written tale. I would recommend this book and will also check out the entire series.
