James and his colleagues investigate similar atypical incidents, and the evidence points to the New Era Revivalist Church in Colorado Springs. Reverend Turner promises his flock the ascension to heaven if they find an artifact hidden somewhere in Antarctica, and the members of the extreme church open the doors to terrifying monsters threatening to destroy humankind.
