Author Biography

Charles V. Breakfield holds a master's degree and works for a high-tech manufacturer as a solution architect, functioning in hybrid data/telecom environments. A long-time technology geek, Charles enjoys writing, studying World War II history, travel, and cultural exchanges. He's also a fan of wine-tastings, riding his Harley, cooking extravaganzas, and continues developing his woodworking skills.
Roxanne E. Burkey - Writing is a passion for Rox that incorporates many of her interests and dovetails nicely with her full time work in customer experience solutions. After successfully writing white papers and technology documentation she wanted a different more fun, less stress writing outlet. Her co-author Charles Breakfield agreed and The Enigma Series began. She enjoys learning, travel, family, outdoor activities, good food, wine sampling, reading, living, cooking, and visiting good friends which helps to bring diversity and new ideas into the stories. She is still learning humor and there is hope for this century that she will master it!
The Enigma Broker is eighth in the series with The Enigma Factor, The Enigma Rising, The Enigma Ignite, The Enigma Wraith, The Enigma Stolen, The Enigma Always, and The Enigma Gamers – A CATS Tale preceding it. This is a story that focuses back on The R-Group and their continuing support of those who seem threatened by the misuse of technology. It can be easily read as a standalone or as a part of the series.

The Enigma Wraith (The Enigma Series) by Breakfield and Burkey is the fourth book in the Enigma series. The Enigma Wraith is a mystery thriller and suspense read that will appeal most to an audience made up of a mix of young adults and adults who enjoyed the previous books in the Enigma series, as well as those readers who enjoy mystery, thriller and suspense stories. The Enigma Wraith follows Jacob, Petra, and Quip as they work against the cyber pirates known as Mephisto and Callisto in order to protect the world’s technology infrastructure before the host code can be used to alter the technological state of the world.

The Enigma Wraith is a fast paced technological thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I liked how even though The Enigma Wraith is the fourth book in the Enigma series, I was able to follow the plot without any confusion. I would personally recommend reading books one through three first to have a better grasp of the setting and characters, but it is not an absolute requirement for enjoying the book. I really liked how authors Breakfield and Burkey made everything seem so realistic; I could almost imagine something like the Ghost Code really happening and how truly damaging it could be. I greatly enjoyed reading The Enigma Wraith by Breakfield and Burkey and I look forward to reading book five.
