The Forgotten Prophecy by Ray LeCara Jr is about Simon and his journey to uncover what is happening to him. Simon experiences weird dreams, which start to include events that happened in town. Simon is also having unexplainable blackouts, and he thinks it has something to do with his stress levels; his uncle, who was a priest, was murdered and this case remains unsolved. The doctors cannot explain Simon’s blackouts, and he asks the priests who knew his uncle to help him with his blackouts. Simon is determined to discover what is going on. In the process, he discovers buried secrets and a prophecy of which he could be a part. This prophecy will have enormous implications for Christianity. Simon must fight evil forces that do not want him to know the truth.

The Forgotten Prophecy has a complicated plot that is excellently executed. Ray LeCara Jr handles the theme of good and evil with great care. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. I just kept reading and could not put it down; I was captivated from the start until the end. The story was fast-paced and there never was a dull moment. I had chills running up and down my spine reading some sections. The characters were well-developed and could easily be anyone I know. We all sometimes struggle with our faith, hope, and beliefs. Some characters were pure evil, and I wanted nothing to do with them. Forgotten Prophecy is superbly written, and a good read. I enjoyed this story.
