The Fox and the Firefly by Riley Maylon is loaded with suspense and romance. Mason is an FBI agent given the code name of James. He is sent to investigate the Nolikovs family. They belong to the Russian mafia and the FBI know and want to stop the illegal dealings that they are using in the honest business they are conducting in their Red Fox bar. Ruby is the beautiful redheaded bartender caught in the center of the web. One of the Nolikovs brothers wants Ruby for himself, but James and Ruby are instantly drawn to each other and, though it creates trouble for both of them, they cannot help but let their relationship flourish. They both suffer physical and mental pain, but each hopes in the end there will be a successful take down of the Nolikovs, thus putting an end to their deeds. Mason and Ruby believe that then they can begin to live happily ever after.

I found myself holding my breath and hoping James or Ruby were okay through much of The Fox and the Firefly, and for the rest I was smiling from ear to ear as they shared a romantic moment. Riley Maylon brought the characters to life and the plot is very believable. The Fox and the Firefly is a fast paced book with action, suspense, drama, romance and excitement on every page. The Fox and the Firefly is a top notch read that both men and women will enjoy and Riley Maylon is sure to be added to your favorite author list.
