In The Guardian's Angel by Lorrie Farrelly, Dr. Elizabeth Driscoll's life was shattered when she was attacked by the University Park Stalker, who almost ended her life. While at the police station three years ago, to help identify the stalker, she had made a startling connection with a stranger, J.D McCammon. Piecing her life back together was not easy but she had done the best she could, even though she still lived with the nightmares, day and night. Imagine her surprise when she comes back one day to find McCammon in her driveway. McCammon needed her help desperately and before she even knew what she was doing she was in a mobile home with him, driving 300 miles out of town in an attempt to protect an innocent little boy and help him overcome his severe mental disabilities. The journey, however, takes much longer than they expected as they face several challenges, including near-death encounters and intense mutual attraction.

The Guardian's Angel by Lorrie Farrelly is a fast paced thriller that takes you from one moment to the next in a blink of an eye. It is simply amazing to see how the two main characters form such an awesome team in such a short time. Their need to protect the little boy is so fierce you can feel it as you read and their intense mutual attraction happens so fast and yet it feels so genuine, testament to Lorrie Farrelly's incredible writing skills. The easy to relate to writing style enabled me to make real connections with the characters throughout the story. The Guardian's Angel is another page-turner from Lorrie Farrelly and I enjoyed every single adrenaline-pumping page from beginning to the end.

The Guardian's Angel is a novel of suspense and romance written by Lorrie Farrelly. Libby Driscoll was a young intern working in Seattle when she was assaulted and raped by a serial killer. Her identification helped the police catch the killer, but her own grip on reality was severely tested by the incident. Three years later, Libby turned down a residency at a prestigious hospital to establish a private practice specializing in treating children with mental and emotional issues. She's still suffering, however, from her own trauma and is terrified to discover a police car parked at her secluded cottage one afternoon. Her first thought is that Dray, her attacker has been freed, and the police are there to warn her -- or worse, that he's already there. Her visitor turns out to be the strange man in the lineup three years ago, who seemed able to read her thoughts, but he really is a policeman, and he needs her help with his autistic godchild.

Lorrie Farrelly's romantic suspense novel, The Guardian's Angel, is an intelligent, fast-paced thriller. J.D.'s adopted godchild, Tommy, is autistic, and Farrelly's handling of the subject is inspired. There's also a bit of paranormal fantasy going on in the fact that J.D. and Libby have a sort of mental connection that allows them to communicate telepathically. It's fun to watch how they come to terms with this ability and learn to respect each other's boundaries and privacy issues. The two of them learn to trust and work with each other as they attempt to evade the killers who destroyed Tommy's parents and want to finish the job by killing him as well. The Guardian's Angel works wonderfully on all these levels. It's quite entertaining and really well-written. I enjoyed The Guardian's Angel and wholeheartedly recommend it.
