In The Guardian's Angel by Lorrie Farrelly, Dr. Elizabeth Driscoll's life was shattered when she was attacked by the University Park Stalker, who almost ended her life. While at the police station three years ago, to help identify the stalker, she had made a startling connection with a stranger, J.D McCammon. Piecing her life back together was not easy but she had done the best she could, even though she still lived with the nightmares, day and night. Imagine her surprise when she comes back one day to find McCammon in her driveway. McCammon needed her help desperately and before she even knew what she was doing she was in a mobile home with him, driving 300 miles out of town in an attempt to protect an innocent little boy and help him overcome his severe mental disabilities. The journey, however, takes much longer than they expected as they face several challenges, including near-death encounters and intense mutual attraction.
The Guardian's Angel by Lorrie Farrelly is a fast paced thriller that takes you from one moment to the next in a blink of an eye. It is simply amazing to see how the two main characters form such an awesome team in such a short time. Their need to protect the little boy is so fierce you can feel it as you read and their intense mutual attraction happens so fast and yet it feels so genuine, testament to Lorrie Farrelly's incredible writing skills. The easy to relate to writing style enabled me to make real connections with the characters throughout the story. The Guardian's Angel is another page-turner from Lorrie Farrelly and I enjoyed every single adrenaline-pumping page from beginning to the end.
