Treat yourself to a fun-filled rhyming tale with Courtney Bednyak's The Lady With Two Different Socks. It follows the adventures of a lady unlike anyone else. She loves to wear mismatched clothes. As she walks down the streets, people notice her socks. One is colored red and covered with stars, while the other is blue with silver guitars drawn on it. She also wears different shoes, complemented by her mismatched pant legs. Some people even think she is a "fashion calamity." Her hat features a cluster of flowers with different colors. However, despite her colorful clothing, the lady is kind and generous. As the people learn more about her, they see her helping others -- be it offering her bus seat to someone else or giving a flower to a little girl.

It's not how we look, but what we do that defines us and makes us who we are. This heartwarming children's tale demonstrates that beautifully. Courtney Bednyak has authored a captivating picture book for children that entertains while teaching a valuable moral lesson about not judging a book by its cover. Full of whimsy and charm, The Lady With Two Different Socks will captivate kids and older readers alike. The rhymes are playful and singable. Young readers will have fun with these rhymes. The illustrations by Arthur Lin are the icing on the cake. They make the story even more enjoyable for kids. The characters are quirky and hilarious. There are some really funny moments in the book that I'm sure will have young readers in stitches. Overall, it's a fantastic picture book for young kids and preteens.
