You could say that my love for writing began in grade school, when my young imagination was expressed through story telling. My time in study hall (remember study hall?) was spent creating characters, developing story structure and plot, in other words—writing stories. Once I had a family of my own my stories, unfortunately, ended up in a drawer where they sat for nearly two decades.
After graduating from college with a business degree, I began my career as a technical writer. I developed training modules, wrote office policy, and employee handbooks. Needless to say, technical writing did not provide the creativity I craved, and so, seven years ago I decided to pull my short stories, poetry, and the beginnings of a novel out of my drawer and began my writing journey.
I am excited to announce that I am self-publishing my first book series, The Celtic Rose Trilogy. This trio of novellas is filled with rich characters, plot twists, and of course—romance. If you like Nora Roberts or Nicholas Sparks, you’ll enjoy this story of love, sacrifice, and devotion. I hope that you will enjoy reading this series of books over and over again!

The Last Rose of Summer (The Celtic Rose Trilogy) by Kenna Gordon is a painful love story that spans four generations. The main focus is on Kasey and Katelin Quinn, twin sisters, who look alike but who want very different things from life. A deadly accident, a trip to Ireland, a mother’s secret revealed years too late, and finding their real father ties the generations together. Kasey and Katelin’s family and their boyfriends add to the interest and heart-wrenching plot.
The Last Rose of Summer is the first book that Kenna Gordon has written and she has done an awesome job. The Last Rose of Summer has everything you could hope for in a book. There is a good plot, characters that you cannot help but like and cheer for, a believable storyline offering the happiness and sorrow of life. Kenna Gordon will quickly become a leading author in the contemporary romance field. The Last Rose of Summer is a book worth reading and will leave you wanting to know more of the happenings in the Quinn family. Kenna Gordon has written a story that will keep you up way past your bedtime and have you neglecting your chores. The Last Rose of Summer is a winner and Kenna Gordon a star author.
