Children of all ages will love this picture book by Dan Wafford. In The Life of Jesus, he shares many important events that happened while Jesus was on earth two thousand years ago. Starting with the birth of Jesus, Dan includes the event at the Temple when Jesus was only twelve and confounded the learned men of Judaism. Moving on, this book covers the baptism of Jesus, the calling of the Apostles, and many special events during His earthly ministry. As Jesus nears the time of His crucifixion, the book pays attention to the events of the Passion. The great news that Jesus rose from the dead and will return one day is given as the triumphal ending of the most amazing story. Hopefully, this book will open the eyes of young readers to the truth of Jesus and make them want to read the Bible for themselves for a more thorough understanding of Jesus’ life.
The Life of Jesus by Dan Wafford is written on an easy-to-understand level for children. The illustrations are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen in a children’s book. Your child will love looking at the pictures while you read this book to them. They will also love reading about Jesus and His life. As you read this book with your child, be prepared to answer many questions, as this book will spark creativity and ignite the imagination. Help your child learn all they can about Jesus at a young age, and they will reap the benefits throughout their life. This book is faithful to the Scriptures and a fantastic introduction to the life of Jesus Christ. I highly recommend this book be in every Christian home with children or grandchildren present. This book might well replace Ken Taylor’s The Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes as the go-to children’s book on the life of Jesus Christ.
