The Little Book of Networking for Translators by Nicole Y. Adams is a book about offline and online networking. It takes you through chapters that tell you what networking is; what the difference between online and offline networking is; what you should and shouldn't do in either case; gives you a variety of networking tips; and teaches you how to start building your own professional network (and this is something you need to keep in mind: it's not for personal networking).

Even though The Little Book of Networking for Translators by Nicole Y. Adams is quite a nice, compact guide, I felt it wasn't really that useful for a translator (which I am). There was nothing new for me to learn and I felt the book was written for people in general. It would make virtually no difference as the book is far too general to be of use to someone who already works as a translator. I gave the book four stars because it's a good introduction to networking in general for someone who has absolutely no clue. If there were more useful links and more specific guidelines for translators, then it would deserve another star.

You can easily read this book within an hour or so and if you don't know much about networking and would like to get started with it, this is book is a good little helper.
