Author D.C. Head in his book The Little Handbook for Navigationally Challenged Cidiots shares various concerns she has with drivers on the open roadway. She defines a cidiot as: "A navigationally deficient person having common driving knowledge in the lowest degree..." Some of the various topics found within the book are driving in construction sites, tailgating, what to do when being cut off, etc. We all have felt on occasion that we have to drive defensively because of other drivers and their driving habits.
The purpose of this book is to share how drivers respond concerning the careless and unsafe practices that many of us see on a daily basis. What is the response when one sees a person putting their make-up on, reading messages, or texting while driving? How we respond to these situations could result in an effect upon our health as in road rage and high blood pressure. We could all learn to help ourselves by taking a deep breath, leaving a few minutes earlier, and realizing that getting upset hurts us more than anyone else.
While the book does use some curse words, it is written in a funny format to keep the reader’s attention while describing various forms of drivers and their issues. Author Head helps the reader see in detail what is happening out on the highway and how to be better prepared for it. If you are looking for a book on how to improve your driving and steer clear of the problems on the road, then this is the book for you.
