The Love Book is an adorable story highlighting the impossibilities of the limits of how a parent can love their child. Somehow every impossibility is conquered by the love the mother feels. Jemima Neal illustrates the unexplainable feelings that come with being a parent, and does it in an easily accessible way. Neal keeps the story fun, light, and reminds both parents and children that love is more than anything life can throw at it. With adorable farm animals and hilarious scenarios, parents and kids will enjoy their time together spent reading. Even older kids who might be figuring out the world will benefit from the message: no matter what happens or what you encounter, your parents will love you.

The Love Book is written with adults and children in mind, with words that are easy enough for an early reader to be able to sound out and work through, but enough of a fun rhyme scheme and rhythm to keep adults engaged too. The beautiful illustrations also help show readers, both young and old, the depths of the feelings the parent and child have. This is the perfect book to curl up with your little one and read before bedtime, and Jemima Neal absolutely hit the nail on the head with brevity, fun, and accessibility for all ages. Visually stunning, emotionally moving, and amazingly written, anyone who reads The Love Book will get all the warm fuzzies that come with one of the best kids books I’ve been lucky enough to read in a long time!
