Have you ever wondered about how fruit and vegetables grow? The Magical Mango Tree by Agronomist Avilak, with illustrations by Bhangga Santoso, tells the story about how mangoes grow. This colorful illustrated children’s book showcases the evolution of the mango. Avilak and Manuel were friends. Manuel lived in Venezuela on the mango plantation. One day Manuel called Avilak to get his advice on how to grow his Kent, Keith and Tommy-Akins mango trees because they were not bearing any fruit. Manuel was puzzled because close by the Haden mango trees were blossoming and growing well. Ironically, if a tree is taken from another country or region then its production cycle can fluctuate. Manuel didn't realize that something as simple as a different environment can change how the mango trees bear fruit.
Children's stories like The Magical Mango Tree by Agronomist Avilak are a great source of education. As Agronomist Avilak educates our children pertaining to the mango growing process, the beautiful illustrations help to vividly tell the story. The Magical Mango Tree is packed with agricultural information from the mango production cycle to understanding solutions to agricultural dilemmas. With the Kent, Keith and Tommy-Akins mango trees coming from the U.S., they function on different weather signals while the mango trees from Venezuela experience minor weather changes and grow accordingly. To help your children to get in touch with nature and agriculture, pick up a copy of The Magical Mango Tree.
