Mom and Dad are frustrated that their daughter no longer sleeps because of the monsters she believes lurk around her room at night, so they decide to embark upon a little mission to find out who the monsters are and where they go when they’re done scaring their daughter. When one night of hiding has them finding a monster, they follow it back into a world where many of them live together. Instead of being scary creatures, however, the parents learn that the monsters are simply curious about what goes on in the human world. To help solve the problem of children being scared, the parents and monsters come up with a treaty. The Monster Treaty of In-Betweeny by KP Loundy is a book that every child should pick up.
The Monster Treaty of In-Betweeny is one of the cutest books that I have read in a long time! From the illustrations to the characters to the monsters and more, this book had everything I was looking for in a fun read. I am a big fan of spooky books, and although this one isn’t scary, per se, it has the perfect vibes for some Halloween reading. The illustrations throughout this book were fabulous, and I absolutely loved the different monsters on the pages! Each page was a joy to look at and read about adventures with the monsters. I highly recommend The Monster Treaty of In-Betweeny by KP Loundy to all children; it gives a more peaceful image to monsters that might be lurking under the bed and is full of great pictures.
