Assassin Don Hoose killed the two men without thought. He grabbed the contents of the briefcase before he left the apartment. He had no idea what was on the tapes but suspected it was important enough to someone to make him a fortune. One of the targets was a high government official.
Jim Palant only wanted the man’s wallet. He never intended to kill him. Palant was now in possession of the briefcase and the contents.
The Vice President was nervous; he had no way of knowing what Montrell had taken from his tapes. He hated that he’d had to take such drastic measures but it was in the nations` interest.
Jack Adler offers readers a book filled with intrigue, deceit, and murder. This fast paced thriller is sure to please the most discriminating reader. The characters are well defined. Jim Palant is not a saint; he never expected to get wrapped up in a national incident. The plot is realistic. I could see this actually happening. I think Jack Adler has a winner!
