The world’s most powerful nation, the United States of America, was blindly stumbling into a tragedy from which it would probably never recover. Following the fall of the USSR, several domestic Soviet sympathizers in the US formed a radical movement that promoted Marxist ideology. With the help of China, the movement aimed at gaining control over every sovereign state in the world. In a bid to achieve their goals, they infiltrated American media houses, academic institutions, and the government. However, Americans seemed oblivious to China’s decades-old dream of becoming the world’s dominant superpower. The Chinese have a secret agenda but, on the other hand, the Russians strategize to destroy China and America’s relationship. The Society of Adam Smith (SAS) −a group of patriots dedicated to protecting America’s interests and future – are the only people who can stop the US government. With bloodthirsty assassins sent by the US government on their trail, will members of the SAS manage to save America from the looming disaster? Get yourself John Wayne Falbey’s The People’s Republic of America: A Sleeping Dogs Thriller to know more.
John Wayne Falbey dropped me right in the middle of exciting action with his page-turner The People’s Republic of America. This book is what you should be looking for if you love fast-paced, action-packed, gripping conspiracy thriller novels. There is action, suspense, tension, humor, spies, guns, bureaucrats, dirty cops, tyrants, extremists, and renegades. Falbey hatches an intriguing plot that features ingenious, spell-binding twists, and an enthralling cast. He unfolds his storyline yet at the same time manages to maintain an edge of subtleness in his narration. Reading the book felt like watching a movie. I loved how he brought out the complex traits of his characters boldly and aggressively. Brendan Wheelan’s intelligence, agility, and strength almost make him an invincible target. Falbey adds a remarkable emotional depth to his narration, letting me experience his cast’s agony, terror, despair, resentment, joy, and so much more.
