Hop on for a fantastical adventure with Michael Alan Fischer's The Puckford 7: Ice Hockey Adventure. In the snowy little town of Puckford Falls, every child dreams of winning the Puckford Cup Trophy. The Puckford 7, consisting of brothers Steve, Jamie, and Bobby Starr and their friends, Bennie, Frankie, Abby, and Rebecca, are no different. On Christmas Eve, while crossing Old Man Miser's property, the teens inadvertently stumble upon a magical portal that transports them to Ice Miser's World of Animation and Ice Hockey. Now, Ice Miser has taken Rebecca and stolen the Puckford Cup, and the only way to get them back is to win a game against Ice Miser's Demon Ice Machines. Helping the Puckford 7 on their quest is the mysterious Ice Angel. Will the kids be able to defeat the team of robots?

Action-packed and wondrously imaginative, The Puckford 7 will delight young readers of fantasy and sci-fi alike. With colorful illustrations and an absorbing plot, Michael Alan Fischer takes readers on a snowy adventure they won't want to end. The fantastical Ice Hockey world is simply fascinating, featuring snowy sharks, ice trolls, hockey-playing robots, and more. As a reader, it doesn't take long for you to start cheering for the Puckford 7 as they embark on their quest, and the plot moves at a blistering pace. Apart from the worldbuilding, I loved Fischer's characters and the use of humor in this story. There is also a twist toward the end that I didn't see coming. Overall, this is a fantastic book for children and young adult fans of adventure tales.
