No matter how I say this I will be over-simplifying the plot but here it goes. A sisterhood of women are trying to figure out how their lives are linked. Buty at the same time they are being hunted by someone who knows why their lives are linked. They are very powerful reincarnated people and their hunter wants to absorb their energy to make himself more powerful. As I said, this synopsis seriously over-simplifies the story. But, if I tell more I will be giving away far too many spoilers.
In short this book was fabulous! I started reading and did not stop until I, regrettably, reached the last page. On page one, I was immediately flung into the turbulent lives of four very engaging women who had a friendship that went far deeper than an ordinary friendship. They fought and struggled their way through the story while clinging to each other, and the friendship that bound them.

The writing style is descriptive and strong but, not overpowering. Things are described well enough to provide a clear picture but not over-worked enough to slow the story. At the same time, the story does not have a break-neck pace either. It rather it ebbs and flows like real life... well as real as life can be when one is being hunted like a dog, by someone who can read your mind. The author took several concepts and artfully wove them together into a new and amazing tapestry that resembles no other that I have ever seen. She re-imagined witches, ghosts, telepaths and half a dozen other concepts and placed them all onto the stage at one time to interact in a new and amazing way. All I can say without giving away more is that I cannot wait for the next book to come out.
