A woman playing a big part in a pirate story! What a refreshing and delightful twist. In the position of leadership, Honorata, our heroine, survives to become a queen and then finds her lost love. The Queen of the Caribbean begins with The Black Corsair continuing his quest to avenge his brothers, The Red Corsair and The Green Corsair, who were murdered or hanged by the evil Van Guld. From the shores of Nicaragua to the shores of Florida, The Black Corsair is sailing into bays, getting captured, and then escaping to fight Duke Van Guld, who escapes again! Then The Black Corsair sails on, following Duke Van Guld to the next bay until, finally, in a massive battle the Duke ... well ... you have to read the book to find out. But then there is his one true love, Honorata. Will The Black Corsair give up his vow of vengeance for love or not?
The Queen of the Caribbean by Emilio Salgari and Nico Lorenzutti is jam packed with action and adventure. Vengeance also plays a major part, and what lessons you might learn from basing your life on vengeance, as well as a lesson on where love fits into your life. It also has information on history, geography, and animals and birds located in that area. This book is filled with fascinating facts, action, adventure and, of course, romance. A suspenseful read that leaves you breathless. If you want something fast paced and full of excitement, you have to read this book.
