The title of book one is The Scrolls: The Missing Eighteen Years and book two is The Volcano that Changed The World. In The Tsunami That Reshaped America, Dr. Mark Malloy, a geologist, is kidnapped by a militia group connected to a religious organization called America First. The group were plotting for change in America. As the name of this book implies, the plan is for a man-made tsunami to strike America and cause a change in government. The militia is racist, hating liberals, Muslims, African-Americans, Hispanics and anyone else not white and that disagree with all they stand for. Gilda Malloy is worried because her husband is missing and the assigned FBI agent, Agent Lucas, seems unconcerned. Against his superior’s orders, Senior Special Agent Joe Wilson and Gilda begin working together to rescue Mark and save America.
The Tsunami That Reshaped America by James W. Mercer reads like a thrill ride. The action is non-stop from beginning to end. Gilda Malloy was my favorite character; she was definitely a woman who can take care of herself. Teaming her with Senior Special Agent Joe Wilson was brilliant. This was an unstoppable team! Dr. Mark Malloy was a likable character. The plot was brilliant, intelligent and plausible. The militia group was shown to be evil and far reaching. They would stop at nothing to bring down the African-American President. This is the first book I’ve read by James W. Mercer but it definitely won’t be the last.
