"The Wish Giver" is embarking on her last journey, her life's path moving on to a different course and new experiences. She is accompanied by a young woman who has a special talent that will enable her to take over and put her own twist on the job. Wishes are granted but only for those that come from the heart. On this assignment, there are five subjects. Armed with four twinkles (wish granting), the two women must decide who will be granted their desire and who will be the one who is not graced with their gift. Each of the subjects has a moving story, a life experience that has changed them from the soul outward. It reminds the reader that there are pivotal points in life that can alter who we are forever and, if we should only be so fortunate, something might just happen to put things back on course.

Karen Mc Dermott has once again written a beautifully engaging story that readers will find too good to put down. It takes a special kind of imagination to come up with a story line such as this one. It is quite evident that she has spent much time developing her characters, adding enough detail to bring them to life and follow through to have an ending that does not disappoint. You will want this book with you in your bag so that you can read it at every chance you get until you reach the end!
