Think and Be Unstoppable is a work of non-fiction in the self-help genre of guidebooks, and was penned by author Josh Racioppo. As the title suggests, this accessible and in-depth guide offers uplifting and motivating advice in order to make major positive changes to one’s life. Focusing on themes such as control, change and freedom, the book uses examples and wisdom from the author’s own life to illuminate a new mentality of living life for its joy rather than succumbing to the stresses and pressures which we all experience. What results is an empowering narrative with some strong practical advice for self development and positive thinking.

Catch-all approaches to leading a better life can sometimes be a little vague in their approach, so it was refreshing to find a book that focuses on mindset and attitude as the impetus for change. It’s not a magical instant solution, but an empowering journey to strength which author Josh Racioppo takes his readers on. No stranger to adversity himself, the author expresses personal and emotive reasons for the changes made to his own life and encourages with a well-written narrative that feels like the advice of a close friend rather than some mystical guru. The result is a realistic and believable path to success for those willing to work on it, and themselves, in the process. Overall, I would highly recommend Think and Be Unstoppable for readers seeking a genuine path to success, and a supportive and confident voice to guide them there.

Think and Be Unstoppable by Josh Racioppo is an incredible read from start to finish. The valuable insights to improve your confidence and strengthen your self-worth are abundant. The author states he is not a writer but I feel the role of any writer is to inspire and provoke thought and Josh does this on every page. The 7-day challenge is amazing and many of his quotations now decorate my office to ensure his precious words are not forgotten when times get tough. I loved the section on visualization and the technique to attract good fortune. His insights into how the brain can be your best friend or worst enemy were truly amazing. I also thought including personal stories and lessons from the masters of success such as Zig Ziglar and Napoleon Hill really helped. The account of the Auschwitz survivor, however, really struck a chord with me and I will never again make excuses for not reaching my fullest potential. Even the conclusion added more golden nuggets of information. If you want to understand more about your mindset and how this is affecting your chances of success, then this is a must-read.

In the 1950s, Norman Vincent Peale published his ground-breaking theories in his book, The Power of Positive Thinking. His thesis was, “You do not need to be defeated by anything… you can have peace of mind, improved health, and a never-ceasing flow of energy.” Seventy years later, Peale’s theories are being reinforced and redesigned to help individuals seek and achieve greater power within themselves. In his recent publication, Think and Be Unstoppable, Josh Racioppo brings Peale into the twenty-first century when he writes: “If you change how you think, how you feel, your attitude, your beliefs, your thinking, your habits, your actions, and your goals, if you change everything, then everything will change for you. … Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is absolute madness.” And he quotes another entrepreneur and public speaker, Jim Rohn: “If you will change, then everything will change for you.”

The premise is that we must believe in ourselves. Josh’s book is a powerful tool to help us do just that. Using anecdotes from history and from personal experience, the author brings his theories into perspective and promotes a positive and powerful message for readers to follow: “If you want your life to change, you have to change things in your life.” He follows through with his premise, providing a logical progression throughout the book, preparing readers to lead a life that is ‘unstoppable’. From what he describes as the first step, the realization that you have the power inside you to make a change, following through on his carefully outlined strategies to achieve this power, the author defines the true meaning of being unstoppable. Like a freight train, once you get going, you can barrel your way to success with a thundering momentum.

The author supports his thesis with inspiring quotes from history’s greatest thinkers (such as Winston Churchill, Albert Einstein, Marcus Aurelius) and concludes: “Thoughts are things. People become what they think about.” I found this book empowering and inspirational. When I read, I study everything, showing particular interest in the opening pages, especially the dedication. It’s amazing what you learn from reading the author’s dedication. Josh Racioppo’s dedication reads: “This book is dedicated to Viktor Frankl, whose courageous use of his mind enabled him to survive the concentration camp at Auschwitz.” It captured my attention and I was intrigued to read further into his book, some background on Viktor Frankl and how the Auschwitz prisoners managed to survive: mostly through willpower. First impressions often dictate how one perceives. I was thoroughly impressed with Think and Be Unstoppable, all the way through to the author’s final words of wisdom: “Fortune favors the bold, so be unstoppable!”

We all have that moment when we feel the whole universe is conspiring against us. Our problems pile up and we drown in hopelessness in looking for solutions. We try to stay in control, but the odds are insurmountable. In Think and be Unstoppable, Josh Racioppo helps us to navigate through life in a series of real-life stories drawn from the lives of actual people. The result is a diverse stream of success stories that we can integrate into our own lives to become the captain of our own ship and make us unstoppable, no matter what difficulty life throws in our way. He draws examples from the trodden paths of Winston Churchill, Viktor Frankl, Sir Edmund Hillary, Rosa Parks, as well as nuggets of truth on courage and perseverance from passed down parables. This book hopes to assist you in constructing a better life in the present and in the years to come.

Encouragement and self-help books are often conceptualized as an act of interpersonal communication at different levels. Mr. Racioppo chooses to focus on character strength and illustrates how his manner of encouragement can amplify his audience’s fortitude through practical examples and personal experience. He puts emphasis on the sense of accountability in fixing personal problems and the mindset that one can do anything even if other people think otherwise. These are easier said than done, but Think and be Unstoppable also takes into account life’s spiraling difficulties that in order for us to believe again, we learn from this book that it begins by making sound choices.
