Till Tomorrow Never Comes by A W Anthony is a heartbreaking story that follows Kurt Kellerman, a man diagnosed with Stage 3 pancreatic cancer and relieved to be dying. His therapist questions him about why he is at ease leaving his lovely family and comfortable life, something that many would fight for. Kurt confesses that he has lived his whole life doing the right thing, but all it has ever brought him is heartache and depression. This all started years ago when he was in high school and found a love so passionate. His love for Mary was deep, but lies and uncontrollable circumstances led to their separation. Kurt’s struggles with regrets of unfulfilled dreams led to a life filled with pain and torment, making him question whether his obedience and morality were worth it.

Till Tomorrow Never Comes is a thought-provoking Christian romance that tackles various moral and social issues. Kurt is a complex and relatable character with whom readers can empathize. His struggles are what many believers deal with daily. Choosing between our desires and what is right is not easy. This lesson is prevalent throughout the book, from Mary and Kurt's relationship to his interactions with people who tried to lead him onto the wrong path, like wayward friends and complacent colleagues at work. The story also delves into parental desires and expectations, illustrating how family influences can complicate personal faith and moral choices. A W Anthony does a great job of presenting these predicaments in a captivating tale. The book can be read as a fictional memoir or a moral tale. Overall, it is a lesson-filled story that will help you reflect on your life choices.

Till Tomorrow Never Comes by A W Anthony revolves around Kurt Kellerman, a 65-year-old man diagnosed with terminal cancer, who reflects on his life, particularly his past relationship with Mary Johnson. As he undergoes treatment, he is overcome with feelings of guilt about his marriage to Meghan, which began without love. Through therapy, he confronts unresolved emotional issues stemming from his youth and the lasting impact of his relationship with Mary, which was affected by familial disapproval and miscommunication. As Kurt comes to terms with terminal illness, he discovers that Mary is now divorced. This revelation forces him to reconcile his lingering feelings for her with his loyalty to his wife Meghan, against a desire for a second chance with Mary. When the past collides with the present, a moral dilemma about love, commitment, and the potential consequences for Kurt's family comes to a head.

In A W Anthony’s Till Tomorrow Never Comes, readers are treated to a thoughtful look at love, loss, and faith, all wrapped tidily in a simple and straightforward storyline. This is Christian fiction but, as a non-Christian reader, I found Anthony quite skilled in allowing Christian themes to subtly enhance the narrative in an organic, unobtrusive way, making it accessible even for those outside the faith. The pacing of the story moves at a slower speed and occasionally the daily minutiae, like how characters fall asleep, is the cause of that. Still, it does invite a reflection from the reader that definitely leans more toward literary fiction than typical Christian romance. I genuinely believe this book would make a great book club read as its ending is going to raise some excellent conversations on whether or not Kurt made the best choice. Ultimately, the story shares the enduring impact of first love, encouraging us to ponder “what would you do” on our own unfulfilled dreams and connections. Recommended.

To the outside world, Kurt Kellerman has lived a perfect life. He has a beautiful wife and family and is financially stable and morally upright. Unfortunately, his life has been a roller coaster filled with anxiety, depression, and heartbreak. He has been masking his pain and thought of ending it with overeating, but now that he has been diagnosed with terminal cancer he feels he can get the peace he wants. He does not have to wake up every day to pretend to be happy. In Till Tomorrow Never Comes, A W Anthony narrates the events that led to Kurt’s descent into despair. The book chronicles his sad love story spanning years and explores the complexities of mental health, family expectations, and the quest for an impossible love.

Till Tomorrow Never Comes is an emotional story that highlights the intricacies of love, family, and faith. A W Anthony has beautifully crafted this tale by building suspense from the very first page. The author begins the story at the end of Kurt's life, making the reader wonder what made him comfortable with dying. The book dives into Kurt’s psyche, shedding light on the often-hidden struggles that people live with. It highlights how these can lead to mental issues and unhealthy lifestyles. The story also illustrates how people use religious beliefs to cause harm to others. This is a sad reality affecting many young people. Their duty to their family and church, which is meant to bring solace, is often twisted into a source of pressure and despair. This is an insightful story with interesting characters and an engaging plot. It is a must-read for anyone who loves faith-based stories covering the complexities of human emotions and relationships.
