The Time Travel Academy: The Time Travel Dating Agency by Reginald Williams follows Layla Samson, a data analyst who approaches her romantic life with the same meticulous, high standards she applies to her work. When she becomes a client of a new agency created by three PhD students, she tests a "consciousness transfer" system that lets her awareness experience her future self and see how a relationship might unfold. What begins as a promising glimpse into her future turns unsettling as she witnesses potential disasters, and eventually, Layla finds the agency has vanished. Left with only a stone reality anchor as a clue, she begins a search for answers and the man from her vision that challenges her reliance on data over intuition.
The Time Travel Dating Agency by Reginald Williams is a fun blend of romance and light sci-fi, and I loved how the premise gives it a spin you don't usually get in this genre. Layla is easy to root for, and watching her slowly loosen her grip on all that data and start trusting herself instead gives the book a lot of its heart. The three students behind the agency bring a lot of personality, each with their own strengths and quirks, and their dynamic adds some good humor alongside the romance. Reginald keeps the tone warm and thoughtful throughout, even when things get a little strange. The writing stays focused on how everything feels for Layla rather than getting bogged down in the mechanics. It's a sweet, easy read for anyone who likes their romance with a bit of a twist, and who enjoys stories about learning to trust something other than logic when it comes to matters of the heart.
