Kelsey James is a master personal trainer and nutrition coach in Oakville, California. She also happens to be a part-time sleuth, most likely because her father, Randy James, is the police chief. When Anna Scott, the mother of Tina Scott, one of Kelsey’s fitness clients, is murdered, Kelsey sets out to discover whodunnit. She and her best friend and colleague Justin Reed uncover a ton of secrets in both Anna’s and Tina’s lives. There are family members galore who could benefit from Anna’s death, so who is responsible? In the middle of all this detective work, Kelsey falls in love with a new and very hot cop working for her dad, who has a few secrets of his own. Can Kelsey discover who the killer is before he or she strikes again? You’ll have to read Time Under Tension by Kristina Fox to find out.
From the moment Time Under Tension begins, the story hits the ground running. It’s page-turning excitement, broken down into bite-size chapters for easy reading. Kelsey James is the amateur detective everybody wishes deep down that they could be, and readers will enjoy every moment of her adventure. Numerous characters could be the killer. Talented murder-mystery writers know how to do shock reveals and Kristina Fox masters this. It’s not who you think it is, so prepare to be blindsided! This is a murder mystery author to watch, and I’m extremely excited to read book two in the Kelsey James Fitness Mystery series.
