Touched by a Phoenix by Sophia Byron is a compelling story that sizzles with passion and romance. Brad Scott, though a playboy, keeps his mind and heart dedicated to his job revolving around military technology. Things change when he meets Alexandria Saunders, daughter of one of the wealthiest men in military technology. She becomes an obsession for him. Alexis, on the other hand, does not trust anyone due to her past experience, and has channeled her thoughts and energy into her profession. In this story of action, romance and passion, readers see themselves going through a gamut of emotions along with Brad and Alexis and the dangers that follow them. Will Brad be able to save the world from the terrorists and the terrors they are going to unleash?

The plot has many layers to it. On one side we see the romantic angle to the story with Brad and Alexis, another side showcases the terrorists who want to harm Brad and Alexis, and yet another side speaks about the military, military surveillance and secrecy. The author does a great job weaving in all the sub-plots to the main plot without losing the fluidity and pace of the story. The characters of Brad and Alexis are electrifying in their passion, personality and success. The story takes readers through many twists and turns, keeping them engrossed in the book until the very end. The romantic angle that runs through the plot tones down the harshness of the terror angle, giving it a softness and gentleness. A romantic story that will hold the attention of readers with its many layers.

Touched by a Phoenix is a romance novel by Sophia Byron. Alexis Saunders is a strong-willed, no-nonsense corporate lawyer who works with her father, Philip, in their company that specialises in military surveillance equipment. She is distrustful of Brad Scott, the handsome new technology genius Philip hires, and shows it. Alexis conceals a painful past, but yearns to be a single mother through artificial insemination. She asks Brad to be her sperm donor. Brad is willing to grant her wish, but only if he sleeps with her instead. He is injured in an accident while creating a high-tech drone that terrorists want. Philip hires ex C.I.A. John Martin to investigate, but Alexis has serious doubts about him while her feelings for Brad are kindled.

Sophia Byron has written a sizzling romance with a nice mystery in its plot. Touched by a Phoenix has several descriptive love scenes that also emphasise the emotions and fears that Brad and Alexis have for each other, based on their personal and business problems. The author writes very well and I like how she deals with a particular problem Alexis kept to herself. The characters have strong personalities that worked for the plot relating to the mystery, but there were times when I felt Alexis was too overbearing, forceful and unrealistic. The mystery is suspenseful and kept me guessing who the villains were, but its conclusion left a cliff-hanger. Overall, Touched by a Phoenix by Sophia Byron is an entertaining novel that women will enjoy.

No doubt about it, Touched by a Phoenix is a hefty offering of sizzling romance. Sophia Byron serves up a first class love story with an Alpha male and an Alpha female that romance lovers will find hard to resist. Brad Scott is the son of wealthy parents, tall, a genius, and an all-round nice guy, but with the record and reputation of a playboy. Alexandria Saunders is a beautiful, strong, smart, redhead whose father happens to own the company that she and Brad work for. At first glance, these two characters might seem a little too perfect to garner much sympathy, but neither of their lives has been as perfect as they appear on the surface. They are both emotionally crippled and Alexis, in particular, has a very dark incident in her past that she must overcome before she can free herself to love again. But this is only part of the story. There is also espionage, cutting edge science and some very high stakes business maneuvering in Touched by a Phoenix, enough to make it a good read for fans of several genres.

Sophia Byron does a great job developing a scenario where these two characters can fall in love, and be strong and vulnerable at the same time. The writing, supporting characters, and setting all contribute to the plot and lead to a satisfying conclusion. Touched by a Phoenix will delight those who seek burning romance as well as those who like a little action with their love story.

Touched by a Phoenix by Sophia Byron is an intense romantic suspense novel. Alexandria Saunders has always relied on herself. She works as a lawyer at her adopted father’s securities development company, keeping herself closed off to every male around her. Bradley Scott, a new employee, throws a spanner into the works with his handsome and intelligent nature. Together, the pair descends into a whirlwind romance, falling deeply in love. However, Brad is working on a very sensitive project for the company and, if it ends up in the wrong hands, could mean disaster. As a series of strange events begins to occur, it’s clear someone else is after the technology. Will Brad and Alexandria survive through it all, or is the project doomed to fall into terrorist hands?

The synopsis of Touched by a Phoenix was very intriguing. I do love a bit of suspense with my romance so I was very eager to read the book. I loved the character of Alexandria, also called Alexis. She was a strong woman, but I felt she crumbled too easily to Brad’s advances. I suppose I would have liked to see more suspense interspersed with the first half of the book. I loved the romance aspect between the pair and anyone with a desire for fiery displays of desire will definitely enjoy this book. The second half of the book is where all the action comes in. It was certainly a unique plot line and well-written. Touched by a Phoenix by Sophia Byron is romance and action all in one.

Touched by a Phoenix by Sophia Byron is about Alexis, who has made her career her first priority. Her past has frozen her heart behind great walls that cannot be penetrated by any man and she had lost all hope for a relationship, because what kind of relationship will it be without any intimacy? But in her desire for her own family and a child of her own, however, there is one man who ignites a fire inside her and makes her wish for things that she never did before.

Bradley Scott is a genius with an IQ of 229. He is the number one in surveillance systems and the number one playboy. Finding a warm body to keep him busy has never been an issue, but ever since he met the firecracker Alexis, he wants no one else but her. As he gradually tears down the walls around her heart, he realizes that she is the one who can save him from himself, but now he has to save her. What he knows can get him killed… and her as well. Will he give up his pride and accept help when his one true love is involved?

The novel was a delight to read. Sophia Byron has done a great job with this amazing romantic thriller. The story is compelling with great sizzling chemistry between Brad and Alexis. With Alexis’ past haunting their relationship and Brad’s new development causing him trouble, the novel has the right mix of romance, suspense, thrill and mystery to it. All in all, a perfect read for anyone who adores true love and a hero who is willing to do anything and everything to save his love!
