Mick dives headfirst into trying to find out what happened with the help of Jack’s sister, and his investigations lead him deep into the world of offshore treasure diving, but not everyone wants him to uncover the truth. A life will be lost as Mick rushes to find the truth behind Jack’s attack, but can he do it in time? And will he finally find a place to belong?
Untied Lines by DL Mitchell is a fascinating tale set in a wonderful location – hurricane and all. Right from the start, you are drawn into a story full of mystery and intrigue, and no small amount of suspense, not to mention a bit of romance, too. While it is a murder mystery, it’s also about community, friendship, and finding your place in life. The characters are described as unforgettable, and that is absolutely true – they are well-crafted, and you’ll be invested in them all the way through; the dog is a lovely addition to the character lineup. The twists and turns will keep you on your toes, and the descriptions of the setting will make you want to head there right away. A thoroughly enjoyable story, and the ending sets it up nicely for a sequel.
