An absolutely charming romantic novella to relax with on the beach, a rainy afternoon, or a quiet Friday night, Upstairs, Downstairs ... and the Lift in Between is a must-have for any romance novel fan. Geralyn Corcillo brought a fun and playful American female character to an English setting to fall in love with a charming English gentleman. Maisy Potter was not what Mark Prebys anticipated of another of the fancy shcmancy guests of Drakenfall resort. Instead of being snooty and looking down upon the staff, Miss Maisy was casual, humorous and quick to display affection for all of the staff. And, she wasn't above putting rude guests in their place, but she did that gracefully and with humor as well. There are surprises, turmoil, and romance. Upstairs, Downstairs...and the Life in Between won't disappoint readers. Instead, they'll be salivating for more from Geralyn Corcillo.

It isn't easy to write a wholesome romance that doesn't leave readers bored to tears, especially in a short novella. Yet, Geralyn Corcillo has written a page-turning sweet romance in this novella. It's a romance that will make readers swoon. Beautifully written, there is a flavor of intrigue from the first few paragraphs. This continues throughout the story, and Corcillo elegantly brings the story to a close in a way that leaves the door open to connect characters in future stories back to this particular one. This is a quick read and though stereotypical in some aspects, it is one of the best wholesome romance novels I've read in quite some time. The cover doesn't do it justice. Therefore, do not let the cover cause you to miss out on this fun story. I highly recommend it for romance novel fans.
