Urban Legends by Daisy Jordan is the story of four friends who made up a story. Being rich and free comes with a lot of perks, but it also comes with many secrets and lies. Jansen, Hersh, Clint, and Jason created a secret society built on a fake story with murders and ghosts. These four friends made this all up as a joke to freak their school friends out and have a few good laughs. However, they had no idea that what they started as a prank could actually be true. Soon, the four friends find out that they have inadvertently put themselves in danger that they might not be prepared to handle. They prove to be the catalysts to a series of events that are just as dangerous and deadly as their made-up story. But they have come a little too far, they cannot turn back and it appears that there is someone or something that will not let them anyway. What are they going to do now? Can they survive this?
Urban Legends by Daisy Jordan was far more intense and dramatic than I had anticipated. Jansen and Jason were my favorites out of the four main characters. They were smart, they took their time, they paced themselves and allowed themselves to evaluate the situation before delving into it. I enjoyed how shrewd and calculating they were because this is what helped everyone in the end. The story itself is strong enough to make me want to know more, crave more, and just hope that the author has more in store for us to enjoy. The element of mystery was very well handled. Daisy Jordan masterfully allowed it to bloom and become almost an entity in the story. Entertaining and action-packed. Needless to say, I loved it!
