What does God expect from those who follow the teachings of Jesus? What can be considered the right Christian behavior? In Victorious Faith in Jesus Christ: Creates Good Christian Conduct, Joan Jessalyn Cox gives very compelling answers to these questions and defines a path that believers can use to allow faith to triumph in their lives. One of the things that the reader will immediately learn is that faith isn’t just something we proclaim with our lips, but a stimulus that prompts us to take actions that shape the world and prepare it for an eventual encounter with Christ. And one might ask: Isn’t it burdensome and challenging to live according to the Scriptures? On the contrary, embracing the truths of the faith communicated in the Bible isn’t burdensome, but liberating, and the author of this book demonstrates how and explains why.

I didn’t doubt that Joan Jessalyn Cox has spent an enormous amount of time learning the mysteries of God and connecting deeply with Christ through His word. She writes beautifully and her message is couched in a language that is easy to understand. I enjoyed her extensive use of biblical references and the fact that she doesn’t use quotations out of their contexts. Victorious Faith in Jesus Christ: Creates Good Christian Conduct is a well-researched and brilliantly articulated book that will help every Christian redefine their identity and transform their faith in a way of living. I found the book contained powerful answers to some of the questions people ask today, ethical and moral questions that are pressing in this day and age. This is a book for those who want to take their relationship with God seriously.

Victorious Faith in Jesus Christ: Creates Good Christian Conduct by Joan Jessalyn Cox is the second book in the Foundational Faith in Truth Series, a compelling work that prompts readers to look past their capacity to endure and embrace the strength that flows from believing. This book offers a road map to genuine spiritual growth and shows readers how their relationship with God, one that is deeply rooted in the desire to know God better and to transform the knowledge of Him into practical life, can become a catalyst for a transformed and inspiring life. The author considers one of the most challenging areas of the life of the Christian — trial. She explores the nature of the challenges that readers encounter in their journey of faith, and offers compelling advice on how to use such challenges to deepen their understanding of God’s word and to achieve victory.

There are so many powerful and inspiring passages in this book and readers will enjoy the masterful use of biblical references. One has no doubt that the author writes from a place of personal encounter with the Living Word, a place where she’s experienced the transforming power of God’s truth. I found some points to be very revelatory, such as: “We only have victory when we have overcoming faith in Jesus Christ to reveal to us the reason for the problem and how to handle it better the next time.” Victorious Faith in Jesus Christ: Creates Good Christian Conduct is well-written and the writing style is simple and conversational, making its message very accessible. Joan Jessalyn Cox knows how to reach readers, addressing them where they most have the need, and talking about realities that will help them deepen their spiritual life.

Victorious Faith in Jesus Christ: Creates Good Christian Conduct by Joan Jessalyn Cox is a well-written message that explores the power of faith in Jesus Christ and how it can determine the way we live and the quality of our life. The author moves from the premise that we are what we believe or what we are made to believe in, to exploring what faith in Christ really entails and how it can become a catalyst in making us live a life of meaning and purpose. The book is a kind of training, a call to the awareness of the depth of truth about the Christian faith and what we are all called to become. The reader gets a clear and masterful expose of the wonderful truths about the values of the gospels and what God’s truth is.

Inspired by the message of the Bible, Victorious Faith in Jesus Christ: Creates Good Christian Conduct is the kind of book that teaches readers the core message of the Bible and shows how this message can transform their lives, allowing them to experience victories through the one who has conquered the world for them. The book is written in a conversational style and it is packed with references that substantiate the author’s message and arguments. The reader is left in no doubt that they are reading from an expert in the Scriptures. The confidence in the writing comes across powerfully; the texts are well-arranged to read with fluidity. This is a very inspiring book that explains how our conduct can derive from the faith we share in Jesus, and how this faith can determine the levels of success in our life, our relationships, and our business. Joan Jessalyn Cox’s message is timely and revolutionary.

Victorious Faith in Jesus Christ: Creates Good Christian Conduct by Joan Jessalyn Cox is written in three major points, like any good sermon. The first point, a Godly Vision for Christian Conduct, is meant to provide a picture of the goal. The goal is to know what you believe and why, to be Christ-like in one’s behavior, and thus to win others to Christ. The second point involves the spiritual battle and some of the obstacles that will be presented in it. A Christian must be aware of how he/she may be perceived by other Christians as well as by the unbeliever, and how that will impact one’s success regarding the goal. Point three includes some strategies to be used and the importance of spiritual discernment. Discernment will assist the believer in knowing what avenue to take in speaking with unbelievers. The Holy Spirit will guide the believer, but one has to listen and seek God's truth in order to be thus guided.

I really enjoyed Victorious Faith in Jesus Christ: Creates Good Christian Conduct by Joan Jessalyn Cox because I am a Christian. Of course, mixed with my enjoyment was the subtle reminder of some areas I need to work on. One cannot hope to know and enjoy fellowship with Christ without seeking Him and His Word, and spending time in prayer, and many people fall behind in that area. Just like any relationship, this one must be nurtured and pursued before it can bear fruit. Joan Jessalyn Cox has written a series which will be a valuable resource for pastors and Bible teachers. She has included many Bible references throughout to illustrate and explain her points.

Author Joan Jessalyn Cox in her book Victorious Faith in Jesus Christ: Creates Good Christian Conduct enables the believer to dig deeper into their faith, to be stretched and molded into the image of Christ. The reader quickly understands more about when the various difficulties of life come their way; they have an opportunity to let it defeat them, or learn and grow from it. She gives a very valid point when she writes: “When you move in discord with Jesus Christ’s word, you move away from His blessed way of living. You then move in chaos created by sin and you are shutting God out of your life.” While the author's viewpoints are very convincing, she more importantly gives lots of scriptures to back up what she is saying and why she is saying it.

Author Cox helps the reader to better understand that where one places their trust can be very defeating. When it is placed in the wrong person, it can bring defeat and discouragement; however, when placed within the right person it can bring edification and encouragement. Author Cox also shares: “You are impacted by the beliefs, behavior, attitudes and actions of the people you meet every day.” The reader can quickly understand that who a person hangs around with is who will greatly influence them. She emphasizes the need for strong Godly discipline to live a strong, healthy, productive life. There are great detailed explanations concerning being a babe in Christ and growing up to be a strong believer. This book will certainly help the reader to become stronger in their faith and to strengthen their walk with the Lord.
