Volume of the Book II: Christ in the New Testament by Commander George J. Thielemann (USN, Ret.) is a deeply insightful exploration of the life and mission of Jesus Christ as revealed in the New Testament. The book serves as a companion to its predecessor, Volume of the Book: Christ in the Old Testament, and focuses on how prophecy was fulfilled through Christ’s love, sacrifice, and teachings. It is a comprehensive study that blends scriptural analysis, historical context, and theological reflection. The book is structured to guide readers through key events in the New Testament, from the birth of Jesus to His resurrection and ascension. Each chapter is enriched with vivid descriptions, scriptural references, and artistic illustrations that bring the biblical narrative to life. The inclusion of artwork, ranging from classical masterpieces to modern interpretations, adds a visual dimension that enhances the text.

George J. Thielemann’s writing is scholarly, and he makes complex theological concepts understandable for readers of varying levels of biblical knowledge. His background as a lifelong biblical scholar and his personal experiences as a cancer survivor add depth to his reflections. The book also benefits from the editorial expertise of Pastor Charlie Garrett, whose detailed studies in Hebrew and Greek ensure the theological soundness of the work. Thielemann emphasizes the humanity and divinity of Christ, as well as the transformative power of His teachings. It encourages readers to reflect on their own faith journey and challenges them to live a life of devotion and service. Volume of the Book II is a beautifully written resource for anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of the New Testament and the life of Jesus Christ.
