Take It To The House by Shae Pratcher begins with Jordan receiving a message from Danielle, a woman who says she did not know Marcus had a fiancée. One sentence turns Jordan’s home life into something different, especially when Marcus’s first answers leave her feeling dismissed. Pratcher then moves the couple into sessions with Coach Avery, where the C.L.A.R.I.F.Y. System™ becomes the foundation for seeing what fact is, what feeling is, and what has been assumed. The guide uses Jordan and Marcus’s relationship as a house under repair, showing how a couple can stop repeating the same conversation long enough to decide what they are really building. Written for readers facing damaged trust, Pratcher turns relationship repair into a deliberate practice.

Shae Pratcher’s Take It To The House is a timely relationship guide and gives readers a method they can use before a hard conversation gets away from them. The writing is direct and easy to absorb, and I love that readers can start to implement the C.L.A.R.I.F.Y. System™ straight away. For example, write down what happened, what was assumed, then what remains within your own power. Later, reset by saying, “I’m starting to pull back,” before silence becomes the whole answer. Pratcher pairs the coaching framework with Jordan and Marcus’s home life, especially the moment Marcus hears the baby monitor, says he has it, and lets repair become behavior. Well written and loaded with answers, individuals and couples wanting to try to rebuild trust and communicate better will appreciate this book.
