In We Are Not Humans: With Master Plant Spirit Teachers to Self-Realization and Beyond, Aleron II shares an intimate account of his transformative journey through spirituality, illness, and enlightenment. The book discusses the profound healing potential of plant and toad medicines—specifically Ayahuasca, Iboga, and other entheogens—as catalysts for personal and spiritual awakening. The key themes include exploring the “Game” of life, which reflects on the intertwined nature of spirit, soul, ego, and the experiences that shape human existence. Aleron emphasizes the importance of understanding one’s true essence, transcending limiting beliefs and social conditioning, and achieving unconditional love as the pinnacle of spiritual evolution.

This is a book about healing and much more. Readers quickly become aware of the spiritual energies flowing through nature, and the author demonstrates how to channel these energies through his personal experiences, insights, and practical guidance. Aleron II’s narrative is a compelling reflection on the complex process of self-discovery and healing, and he writes about mortality, addiction, trauma, and recovery with simplicity and wisdom. Following an initial cancer diagnosis that shattered his previous life, Aleron reevaluated his existence, leading him to master plant teachings that served as guides to triumph over despair. Through his experiences, the author illustrates that the journey toward self-realization is not linear but filled with challenges that offer growth opportunities. We Are Not Humans asserts that liberation arises from embracing the entire spectrum of one's experiences, including suffering and healing. This book spoke to me uniquely and meaningfully, and I believe it is a gift I needed now. The author will invite you into a dialogue with yourself, your core beliefs, your understanding of self, and your experience of suffering and the world around you.

We Are Not Humans by Aleron II is a deeply introspective journey into spiritual awakening through the lens of master plant spirit teachers. After being diagnosed with metastatic cancer, the author begins a transformative experience guided by entheogens such as Ayahuasca, Iboga, and Peyote. This book is a personal testimony of that experience but also a profound exploration of consciousness, stripping away illusions and unveiling the deeper truths of existence. Unlike conventional spiritual guides, We Are Not Humans presents plant medicine as an ancient, sentient wisdom capable of leading seekers toward self-realization and shows us how to access that for ourselves.

Author Aleron II has such enthusiasm and intensity in writing about a subject that they’re passionate about, offering a profound and courageous exploration of spiritual awakening that takes readers far beyond conventional belief systems. It was fascinating to read about the author’s own experiences with illnesses that we consider to be such grave sentences to those given them. Aleron II offers a deeply personal yet universally resonant guide to the power of plant medicine that comes from real experience and deep research into the ancient wisdom behind these results. It’s certainly a transformative read for those seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and human existence, but what makes it so effective is the organization of information and how ideas build in the text to give readers a holistic understanding of the connection between mind, spirit, and body. Overall, We Are Not Humans challenges perceptions and inspires introspection, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in holistic healing and alternative medicine.

In We Are Not Humans, Aleron II offers a profound exploration of spiritual evolution intertwined with personal accounts of his journey through illness, the use of master plant teachers, and the quest for self-realization. The book examines diverse spiritual perspectives, discussing the intersection between individual experiences and universal truths. The author offers insights into concepts such as karma, reincarnation, and the importance of detachment from the ego, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of unconditional love. The book posits that we are not merely our human forms; our true essence transcends physical existence, and we can liberate ourselves by confronting deep-seated fears and illusions. This book is a practical guide free from jargon and offers readers tools to address depression and chronic illnesses. Readers will learn to reconnect with their spiritual cores and liberate themselves from the rut in which they feel perpetually trapped.

Aleron II’s discussion spans multiple topics, including the nature of reality as an illusion (Maya), the mechanics of karma in our reincarnation journey, and the transformative power of master plants such as Ayahuasca, Iboga, and others. Each plant is presented as a substance and a spiritual guide capable of facilitating deep insights and personal growth. He vividly recounts his near-fatal cancer diagnosis, noticeable transformation after engaging with these plant spirits, and the healing that unfolded as he embraced unconditional love. We Are Not Humans is meticulously designed, with each section building upon the last, leading readers deeper into the labyrinth of spiritual development. The author weaves personal narrative with philosophical exploration, arguing that our experiences—joy or suffering—become lessons in the broader game of existence. He emphasizes the necessity of self-inquiry, healing, and understanding one’s true nature beyond the ego. This book is an eye-opening spiritual treatise that will change how we see ourselves.

In We Are Not Humans, Aleron II offers a moving exploration of spiritual growth through personal anecdotes, lessons from plant and toad spirit teachers, and esoteric teachings. The book features the author’s experiences and insights into healing and love. The book discusses Aleron’s battle with metastatic prostate cancer, but it transcends mere autobiography, evaluating the philosophical and spiritual dimensions of existence. The author asserts that life is a “game” designed for spiritual evolution, exploring concepts such as karma, reincarnation, and unconditional love. Aleron's encounters with various master plants, including Ayahuasca and Iboga, become catalysts for his transformation, helping him overcome fears and deepen his understanding of self-realization. Through these experiences, he understands that true healing stems from recognizing one’s nature as more than just a physical body.

We Are Not Humans is a spiritual book, and I loved how the author used symbolism to capture the energy that flows through the human body. The key points in this book include the importance of facing one’s fears, the transformative power of master plants, and the notion that challenges serve as gateways to spiritual growth. Aleron II discusses the dangers of being trapped in limiting beliefs and societal conditioning, the importance of understanding karma’s role in our lives, and how unconditional love is the key to transcending suffering. The voice is authoritative yet compassionate, and the author’s honesty is conveyed through the simplicity and directness of the language. A unique aspect of this book is its focus on integrating spiritual practices with personal healing, making it less about rehashing traditional beliefs and more about experiential understanding. There are sections designed for personal notes and reflection, and the interactive nature of the writing ensures that readers are engaged in a conversation with their beliefs and core values. This book is a gift for readers seeking tools for healing and spiritual awakening.

Who are we really, and is our reality just an illusion? Aleron II sets out to answer this and other searching questions in We Are Not Humans: With Master Plant Spirit Teachers to Self-Realization and Beyond. He explores the notion that life as we perceive it is an elaborate game and spells out the rules in full, highlighting what is holding us back. The author explains that we merely assume human form for our temporary earthly sojourn. We are souls who are eternal and can incarnate anywhere and in any form, however unfamiliar this may seem. Life in the physical allows us experiences that cannot be encountered in more etheric realms. Ultimately, we are all one and part of the Divine. Free will is explored. It is exercised at different levels, often as a result of the choices we make before we incarnate. An understanding of reincarnation and the role of balancing karma (cause and effect) is thus fundamental. Our belief systems are conditioned by society, and, among others, our concepts of right and wrong are skewed. Dark forces will attempt to mislead us and must be confronted, but they are all part of the game. Spiritual teachers have their place, but it is an individual path, so do not follow others blindly. Truth itself evolves.

Aleron II, whose name is derived from a previous lifetime as a magician, was diagnosed with cancer in 2008 that had spread by 2020. During that time, he suffered from addictions and depression and was forced to contemplate his mortality. This triggered a deep spiritual search that included forgiveness and gratitude while letting go of attachments and clearing unresolved trauma. This demonstrates that seemingly incurable diseases provide an opportunity to evolve and be healed. The author promotes Master Plants and Toad Spirits as natural teachers and gurus. Working with them is described in detail, including participation in shamanic ceremonies, the use of the plant medicine, the quantity to be imbibed, and its effects. On a cautionary note, mind-altering substances may well accelerate spiritual growth but should be used under controlled circumstances and with great discretion. They are tools and not an end in themselves. It is not recommended for beginners. We Are Not Humans is a detailed and practical guide to spirituality, at times leaning toward the unconventional. The author does not prescribe solutions but offers intriguing alternatives. The writing style is clear, and complex concepts are fully explained. The rules of the game are particularly well presented. This thought-provoking and insightful work should be read with an open mind.
