We Haven't Made the Sale!: 20 Analogies from a Teacher On the Problems in Public Education - And What We Can Do About It by P.D. Meyerholz is an informational book about the existing education system and how all of us - parents, educators, students, and the community - play a large role in shaping a better education system. The twenty analogies shared about the faults in the current education system discuss the requirements for change that can lead to a wholesale change in the education system. The author's teaching experience helps readers understand the core problems surrounding public education and how these problems can be addressed and improved.

The twenty points are expanded well and the author handles them extensively and logically; and the author also speaks about the importance of the role of parents in a child's early development. The book discusses the American culture problem that is one of the causes of a lack of widespread high quality public education in the US. The author deals with the subject with clarity and the points made are valid and practical.

The book will make readers look seriously into the American education system and understand the flaws. It also guides one on how to avoid making educational flaws. The author's words are encouraging enough to create a good system of education that will allow students to turn acquired knowledge and skills into a lifetime of achievement. The list at the end of the book for making enriching reforms in the education system is useful.
