Henri Parker has faced many trials throughout his life. He and his three brothers were born with a genetic disorder. He had two older brothers, Lamont and Ray. Lamont was his hero while Ray enjoyed antagonizing him. After Lamont’s death Henri mourned for him and at times slept on his grave.

Henri was at the top of his class and looking toward college. Scholarships made the future look bright. It all went topsy turvy when test results showed that his kidneys were not working. Missing school caused his grades to drop and scholarships disappear. He was determined to graduate with his class. He had months of work to catch up on. On graduation day he turned in his last assignment 15 minutes before the deadline. His classmates supported and cheered him on.

As soon as Henri laid eyes on Samantha he knew she was meant to be his wife. Their marriage faced more trials and tribulations. Together they survived.

Through all of the obstacles in his life, Henri praised God. His faith was never shaken. I’m sure he was a strong influence on the medical staff that surrounded him so often. They saw a man on the verge of death brought back time and time again. Henri knew God had more in store for him. Too often we focus on ourselves instead of focusing on God. We forget that He is bigger than anything we will ever face. Henri tells his story in hopes of inspiring others to realize that no matter what you are going through you are not alone.

I found this story inspiring. Henri reminded me to look outside myself, to have faith that no matter what I am not alone. I suggest Henri hire a good editor. I found many errors in the text. Henri’s story is an important one that needs to be told, but first it needs editing. Thank you for sharing, Henri. I needed to hear what you had to say.
