Willy the Wiggle Worm Can't Stop Wiggling written by Hailee Oman and illustrated by Jaylie Jae, as the title suggests, is about Willy, a worm who wants to stop wiggling. Willy wiggles all day and night, but he is tired of this and wishes to find a remedy for his problem. His first idea is to flush his wiggles by drinking lots of juice. Unfortunately, this does not work. He decides to immerse himself in honey, but this backfires because his bottom part is stuck, but his top part is still wiggling. It makes Willy even more frustrated. He stretches his body between two trees to stop his wiggles. Surprisingly, this does not work either. Exhausted, Willy goes to bed, but he wiggles all night long. When he gets up the next day, he is determined to stop his wiggles once and for all with a master plan. Find out what Willy will do to stop his wiggling in Willy the Wiggle Worm Can't Stop Wiggling.
Hailee Oman is a comedic genius. Willy the Wiggle Worm Can't Stop Wiggling is one of the funniest children's stories I have ever read. I could not stop laughing at Willy's insane ideas and Hailee Oman's creative writing. The author begins the story by informing readers no worms were harmed during the making of this book. I thought this was funny. Apart from its hysterical nature, it is also beautifully illustrated. I loved the consistent orange theme and Willy's facial expressions. Willy's frustration is written all over his face, and I could not help but pity him; his crazy solutions were so random and unexpected. I kept anticipating his next move, and he did not disappoint. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
