Women have made significant contributions to society. To achieve this, many of them had to overcome stereotyping, fight discouragement from many quarters, and use their resources to be heard. For some of these ground-breaking women, the path was difficult, but they achieved such impressive results that they remain an inspiration for the generations that followed. Women Who Rocked the World introduces us to some of these women, such as Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, or Marie Curie, the first woman to win a Nobel Prize. However, Rita Gandhi also adds women of our time such as Oprah and J.K. Rowling, among others. This is a wonderful book that teaches the lesson that just like them, we should not stop until our dreams come true.

Anyone passionate about equality will want to share this charming book. The images are delightful, while the descriptions are short but highly motivational. Young readers can read on their own about how far they can go. I thought Women Who Rocked the World was wonderful because achieving equal rights in our society depends mainly on education. Girls are the future of tomorrow, so we must free them from gender stereotypes and show that it is possible to build a fair and equal society. Rita Gandhi teaches us that anyone can dedicate themselves to what they want to achieve, regardless of their gender. The women featured in this book ignored prejudice and achieved revolutionary success. This book is a clear sign that anything can be attained if you have the determination to succeed.
