In Your Message Will Get Through by Andrew Ceroni, Steve Pfeifer wants to take his family to visit Santa’s Workshop at the North Pole. The kids really look forward to the adventures awaiting them. One Saturday afternoon, five days after Thanksgiving, the family embarks on the journey using Highway 24. Unfortunately, they get caught in a snowstorm, but Steve is determined to continue with the journey despite his wife’s concerns. A police officer stops them and instructs them to turn back since the prevailing conditions make the journey hazardous. When Steve asks the officer if Santa’s workshop is far from where they are, the officer informs them that they had missed it along the way. The officer also informs them that it is already closed. As events unfold, the family car breaks down, and while fixing it, one of their children gets lost. How will events unfold?
Once you start reading Your Message Will Get Through by Andrew Ceroni, there is no putting it down. The writing is crisp, engaging, and filled with well-crafted dialogue that brings the story to life and is fun to read for both young and adult readers. I loved the themes covered, like kindness and helping those in need, which I believe will resonate with many readers. The characters are well developed, and Andrew also ensured all events were vividly captured, which helped create a mental picture of what was happening. The illustrations help spark one's imagination, and the reader will also appreciate the excellent narration, which adds to the overall beauty of the work. This was a good read, and I look forward to reading something else by Andrew Ceroni.
