Your Primal Body – the Paleo Way by Mikki Reilly is a another take on the hottest new way of living right now. It’s not just another diet and fitness book; it’s a book that takes us back to our roots and teaches us how to live the way our ancestors did. Your Primal Body talks about why diets and fads do not and never will work and why all the talk of low fat, hard exercise diets can do more harm than good. It takes you on a journey through how our Palaeolithic ancestors lived and why they were much healthier and fitter than we, as a human race, are now. She talks about modern day diseases and how they weren’t in evidence back then, and how it can mostly be linked to our diet and lifestyle. This guide details, in great depth, the low carb, high protein Paleo diet, how it should be followed and the exercises required to back it up, including a 5-step plan for everyone to follow.

Mikki Reilly is highly qualified and that shows in Your Primal Body – The Paleo Way. It’s a wonderfully written book with a strong message that is conveyed in language and a manner that is easy to understand. The 5-step plan is logical and should not be difficult for anyone to follow. The personal stories included made it more than just a diet and fitness book – they turned it into a lifestyle book, one that has changed the way I look at my life and the food I eat.
