In Zip Line: Aftermath by P. Anthony Michael, Neal is married to Gail, and they are expecting twins soon. Neal seems to have special powers as he is the one who discovers Gail is pregnant with boys even before any test. He is also able to talk to the twins and calm them down in their mother’s womb. Another strange thing happening to Neal is the dream that he has been having of mythical creatures. Are they just dreams, or is there more to them? At work, Neal has been performing well and is almost breaking the set record. How will things turn out when a series of murders, one of them being the mayor’s friend, start occurring? Will Neal’s powers help in bringing the monster responsible to justice?
Zip Line by P. Anthony Michael is wonderfully written with twists and turns in the plot that kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved how the author utilized suspense, which kept me looking forward to the subsequent chapters. The vivid descriptions of events and places helped create a mental picture of what was happening, and the integration of detective work and mythical creatures and powers also made the book very entertaining. The reader will appreciate the thought-provoking nature of the work on issues of policing, such as justice and vengeance. The characters were well-developed, and the excellent narration added to the overall beauty of the work. This was a good read, and I look forward to reading something else by this author.
