Morgan Vice is a young woman on the autism spectrum. She was diagnosed at age three. When she was young, she had very little functional language. Over the years, she has developed a unique unfiltered way of stating what’s on her mind. She also enjoys painting and writing songs with her mom about her favorite things. 52 Blue Mondays by Tammy and Morgan Vice is a heartwarming account of quotes by Morgan Vice, with accompanying photos, during the course of a calender year. Diagnosed at age three with autism, Morgan has grown into a young woman with an acute sense of reality as she perceives it. She has a unique way of telling how she feels about any given event, at that particular moment in time. Whether it is a Monday when she wakes up not wanting to go to school, her reaction to a near miss automobile accident, or listening to a seemingly endless list of websites, Morgan’s insights are informative and whimsical at the same time.
Tammy Vice’s collection of photos is an inspiring presentation of 52 Blue Mondays that shows how much she and her family nurture Morgan’s ongoing education of her independent skills, with a healthy dose of self esteem. Morgan is amazing and she is not afraid to say it out loud with conviction. Like the time when Morgan, while by being assisted by her father, cooked breakfast one Saturday morning when Tammy was out of town.
