Fun, fun, fun! Those are the best words I have to describe the latest novel by author Meredith Schorr, How Do You Know? In Book one in the Seeking Happily Ever After series, we are introduced to Maggie Piper. Preparing to turn 39, she takes stock in her life. She doesn't feel much older than she did in her twenties, but realizes that her biological clock might not agree. When her boyfriend suggests a break that ultimately ends in a break up, the pressure really builds. Feeling like forty "is a train approaching her at warp speed with a shoelace stuck in the track," Maggie sets her next birthday as a goal to have everything figured out; who she is, what she wants, and how she'll get there.
I loved this book! Simply loved it! Author Meredith Schorr does a wonderful job at creating a spunky, delightful character in Maggie, and you'll truly come to care about her and her future. If that's not the hallmark of a great writer, I'm not quite sure what is. I could not stop reading this book once I started, and readers should make sure they have enough time to read this book from start to finish once they begin. How Do You Know? would appeal to any reader who loves fiction with a fun, fresh, female protagonist, chick lit, or just a well-written, completely engaging read. This is the first book I've read by author Meredith Schorr, but it certainly will not be the last!
