My education continued with my acquisition of a B.S. in ‘B.S.’. This was followed by my Masters in H. D. L. A.
‘Honey Do List Avoidance’ is a new, but burgeoning field of study, with endless possibilities.
Completion of my studies culminated with a P.H.D. in Nothology. For my laymen, that’s the study and mastery of nothing and doing nothing. As a noted Nothologist, I have the time to do what I truly enjoy!
Diving into an ocean of words is my favorite pastime. Mysteries, humorous novels, urban, military, action and adventure, and sci-fi are some of my preferred reading choices.
Some have witnessed me reading non-fiction, but they’re no longer around to spread such lies! The same goes for the rumors of my reading comics and Mad.
Another passion is classic movies. Nothing like seeing Poitier, Powell, or Bogart, showing how it should be done.
My sports accolades are too numerous to list. Many remember my 33 straight loses in ‘strip poker’, which is still a Georgia record. Or my triumph as Putt-Putt Champein of 87’. And my loaded dice game can't be touched!

The Butler Did It is a humorous murder mystery novel written by Andre Boyce. His name is Dick Privates, but mind you remember that the final 's' is silent, and his embarkation upon his career as a private eye could be considered divinely inspired in much the way that a storm or a particularly well-aimed bolt of lightning could be considered an act of God. Dick was sheltering in the breezeway of the mall where he had been doling out his last few coins for a bit of the hair of the dog, when it hit him. He had been going through some pretty rough times what with being fired from his latest job, losing Sandy, his beloved pet, and being evicted by his landlord who just happened to be his mother, not that that really made any difference to his now homeless state. Then, as he was sheltering in the breezeway from the sudden storm, a bolt of lightning struck the metal handrail he was holding. It would take some time before he was fit to leave the hospital. But that momentary pulsing of voltage through his body set the stage for his greatest burst of inspiration: he would become a private investigator and build his office in that very same breezeway.
Andre Boyce's humorous murder mystery, The Butler Did It, introduces a zany and original new private eye into the pantheon of literary detectives, and his debut novel will tantalize mystery fans with the possibility of a new mystery series to look forward to. Dick Privates was born to be a sleuth -- even if it did take him some time to get the succession of aborted and spectacularly boring career alternatives out of his system before turning his attention to what he was born to do. His partner in crime, Sonny Moon, breaking and entering expert by night and building foreman by day, is the perfect foil for this erstwhile detective who will find his man, no matter how long, how many misadventures or how many guesses, it takes.
Those readers who enjoy Agatha Christie's Belgian detective Hercule Poirot will be as thrilled as I was to watch Privates assemble his suspects and proceed to make everyone in the room decidedly uncomfortable when faced with his direct and even pointed questions, even if the procedure doesn't go down quite as smoothly as Christie's detective's usually does. I can't wait to read all about Dick Privates' next client and will be watching for the sequel to The Butler Did It. This offbeat and very funny private investigator mystery novel is tightly plotted and chock-full of red herrings, and it’s most highly recommended.
